Every training session embodies the principle of continuous improvement, propelling athletes beyond their performance goals to reach their highest potential

"It takes time to create excellence. If it could be done quickly, more people would do it"

“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard”

"Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability"

What does continuous improvement look like in basketball?
How can your child succeed by partnering with Crescent Basketball Academy?

STRUCTURED CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT APPROACH EXAMPLE:

Dribbling with your head up is a challenge for most children when starting to play basketball.
Dribbling with your head up with speed is even more challenging.
Following a structured improvement plan will allow for tangible improvements.

Define

Set the objective for players to maintain head-up dribbling at game speed

Measure

Evaluate players’ current ability to dribble with their head up, assessing speed, control, ambidexterity, and crossover capabilities

Analyze

Identify skill gaps such as difficulty in using the weaker hand while keeping the head up, pinpointing specific barriers to improvement

Improve

Develop an improvement plan of drills. Focus on strengthening dribbling skills with the weaker hand and incorporating changes in speed and direction to build control and confidence while maintaining head-up awareness

Control

Regularly practice the designated drills, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and adherence to improvement benchmarks

Our structured lesson plans are focused on repetition, focused on the fundamentals of basketball.  Our progress reports will allow parents to track their child’s progress and identify areas for improvement
